Fuel Tank Float Probe Protection Products
The Fuel Guard Float Probe (Level Sensor) Protection System is a professional mechanical and electronic security solution designed to protect the fuel tank level sensor (float probe) area of heavy-duty vehicles (tractors, trucks, lorries, and light commercial vehicles) against unauthorized intervention and fuel theft.
Especially in commercial vehicles, the float probe is positioned on the exterior section of the fuel tank in an easily accessible location. This creates a serious security risk by enabling driver-related misuse or external intervention. Fuel Guard has been specifically developed to eliminate this risk.
Complete Set (Kit) Approach
Fuel Guard provides fuel security with a holistic approach. Instead of focusing on a single point, it protects the fuel tank from end to end:
- First stage: The fuel filler neck is protected with a filtered anti-siphon fuel tank lock.
- Second stage: The float probe area, which is frequently targeted by thieves, is secured with a special protection system.
Thanks to this integrated system, fuel theft carried out through the float probe is completely prevented.
Technical Structure and Security Features
The system is directly mounted onto the fuel level sensor (float probe) and includes the following features:
- 1.5 mm thick special serial-numbered steel cable seal system – Cannot be removed without breaking the seal; anti-removal design allows identification through the serial number if tampered with.
- Material options: Plastic PVC or galvanized metal sheet.
- High durability: Superior resistance against impact, vibration, corrosion, and external factors.
- Long-lasting structure: Maintenance-free, rustproof, and resistant to deformation.
This design makes fuel extraction or intervention through the float probe physically impossible.
